Abstract:

The key aim of the study was to investigate legislation, policy and practice in relation to treatment of people with problematic drug or alcohol use in police detention in eight countries in the European Union (Bulgaria, Estonia, England and Wales, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania and Romania).
