Inhaltszusammenfassung:

Die Arbeit beinhaltet eine Methode und Software-Implementierung eines Designers der Notationssprache BPMN für Geschäftsprozesse. Prozesse werden graphenbasiert interpretiert und können frei entworfen werden. Mit Hilfe des integrierten Layoutalgorithmus können Zeichnungen nach ästhetischen Aspekten visualisiert werden. Dazu wird ein erweiterter, orthogonaler Layoutalgorithmus angewandt, der BPMN-Eigenschaften wie z.B. Swimlanes, berücksichtigt.

Abstract:

The thesis describes an algorithm an its software-implementation providing a designer and modeller for the notation language BPMN considerung business processes. Business processes are interpreted as graphs and can be layouted and visualized with a graph-theoretic approach. The visualization takes into a account properties of BPMN, e.g. swimlanes. For the visualization, a variant of an orthogonal layout algorithm is applied.
