Abstract:
As Tinnitus is a subjective ear-ringing without external stimulus, the genesis is multifactorial. A consistent explanatory model does not exist, yet. Based on an established animal behavior-model, the influence of a Phosphodiesetrase-Inhibitor on salicylate-traumatised rats was investigated. Two parameters were set to analyse the influence: on the one hand the conditionised behavior, on the other hand the hearing, electrophysicaly measured by BERA.
The behavior as well as the hearing has not been influenced significantly, though there are tendencies of a possible improvement of hearing-loss using a Phosphodiesterase-Inhbitor under salicylate trauma.
