Kriminologie als gesellschaftspraktisches Vernunftunternehmen : aktuelle Nachbemerkungen zum Paradigmen-Streit

Abstract

Der Beitrag analysiert den 'meta-kriminologischen' Raum für die gegenwärtigen Annäherungsversuche zwischen alter und neuer Kriminologie am Beispiel der 30-jährigen Geschichte des AIK. Unter Rückgriff auf Kuhns 'Paradigma', Foucaults 'Dispositiv' und Toulmins 'Vernunftunternehmen' wird professionsspezifisch und disziplinär der evolutionäre Charakter dieser Entwicklung betont. Professionell auf einen gemeinsamen Diskurs-Raum angewiesen, bewegt man sich disziplinär weithin im Rahmen gemeinsamer Denkschemata. Ohne dabei zureichend reflexiv zu beachten, daß - heute mehr denn je - selbst kritische Diskurse als wesentlicher Bestandteil realitätskonstituierender Dispositive, die gesellschaftliche Praxis mitgestaltend, in das 'hegemoniale Machtnetz' mit eingebunden sind.

The article analyses the 'meta-criminological' area in which the ongoing joint venture between old and new criminological theories can be developed, using as an example for the 30-year old history of critical criminology in Germany. Kuhn's idea of 'paradigma', Foucault's 'dispositiv' and Toulmin's 'Vernunftunternehmen' with its two components of profession and disciplinary matrix set the frame to demonstrate an 'evolutionary' development based on the necessity of a common 'area of discourse' and a common set of general ways of thinking. As a result even critical criminologists tend to repress the knowledge that today - more than ever - theoretical constructions are an essential part of reality constituting 'dispositives' - a social praxis - which reinforce a 'hegemonial' net of power, jointly constructed by all its participants.
