Der Neue Paternalismus formuliert ein verändertes Paradigma des Sozialstaats, indem er individuelles Versagen statt struktureller Rahmenbedingungen in den Mittelpunkt rückt. Seine Übertragung auf Drogenpolitik vereint dabei auf charakteristische Weise Elemente disziplinarischen Eingreifens mit kontrollgesellschaftlichen Akzentuierungen.

Abstract:

New Paternalism takes into focus individual failure instead of structural contexts and thus may be considered as a new paradigm of the welfare state. In the field of drug policy it melts intervention for the sake of discipline and elements of control society.
