Individual: GS

Sex: male

Age: 50-60 years

Burial Type: unknown

Orientation of Burial:

Description: The original position of the disturbed burial could not be reconstructed. However, it seemed very likely that the cranial and infra-cranial remains belonged to the same individual. The cranium is fragmentary, the mandible is well preserved. Few fragments are present from the post-cranium and belong most likely to the same individual: fragments of the spine, right pelvic bone, left clavicle, right and left forearm, right femur, right fibula, hands and feet. The occipital bone shows increased porosity (porotic hyperostosis) adjacent to the lambda. The right ascending ramus of the mandible was fractured. Dislocation of the right condyle before healing is still visible: it is shortened and pointing inwards. The atlas is showing osteo-arthritis on the facet for the dens. The left frontal bone exhibits postmortem abrasion striae on the outer table.
